Mystery hardware 87 924S

Lifted the front end of my 87 924S to service the alternator and found this rubber tipped bolt/stud on the garage floor. At first I thought it might be a stop for the head lights as it was located near the front of the car. But haven't had any luck finding it in any assembly drawing. Anyone know what the heck this hardware is/does?

In the diagram below, your part is #2 and #4, needs a lock nut #3

Much appreciated! Haven't driven at night since it took a flyer or I'm sure I would have noticed beam alignment was amiss. The never ending project. Hopefully a 10 minute job.
