fuel line options

924s 1987

Hello,

The short rubber threaded fuel line after the fuel filter that leads to the metal lines has developed a crack. Its part #944356004802

Looking it up on pelican parts, the web and ebay its a bit pricey for 6 inches of line.

I'm assuming I can make a replacement a lot cheaper.

Does anyone know the thread size and type fitting that will bolt on to the fuel filter and metal line connector. I'm assuming this is the hard part.

The other option would be just to splice in a repair but I would rather replace just don't want to spend $100 on such a small piece.

Assuming also there may be a BMW or volvo line that may work??

I think the fittings are 16mmx1.5 but not sure.

So two connectors of that size(dorman 800-078), high pressure 3/8 hose and two fuel injector clamps should do it?

Are you asking about this Fuel Hose?

If so, its pretty hard to find these fittings locally. And E-85 rated Hose is not cheap.

OK, I looked up your original number with 356004802.

I see what you mean about the cost.

The Doorman fittings you mention are not correct. I will look to see if I have the ones you need in stock.

Check with Devin Lyons. He makes some pretty nice fuel lines.

It's a pretty simple hose

The fixed end would need to be imported AFAIK. The Cohline part number is 8033.0800

The loose nut side is easily obtained in the US, 8010.0800 and 8031.0800

The crimp ferrules are 8001.1700 and need a special Cohline crimper (I have one)

It looks like they used to use Cohline 2134.0800 hose which has been updated to 2192.0800

I used those clamps on mine. The metal ends were still good, so I cut the factory crimp off and replace the rubber hose with Gates Barricade.

Great thinking I’ll give that a go.
