clank
I've noticed a clanking noise coming from the front of my 87' 951 when cornering, applying the brakes, and going from reverse to forward in first gear.(reverse to forward when reversing and then while drifting backwards and putting it into first and taking off) Is that clear? I'm thinking front suspension maybe. I'm definitely sure it's coming from the front. I recently replaced the tie-rods. It was making this noise before I did the tie-rods so I don't think they are the culprit. Most of the time I hear this while cornering(at any speed). Any ideas would be helpful. I don't think it's anything major, it's just annoying. Thanks.

Check the sway bar bushings, there are four, the one on the right inside tends to get soaked in oil from oil filter changes then they wear out a little bit and make noise

Check for play in that rubber thing that holds the top of the strut to the fender. It could be worn, have a bad bearing or the strut nut have worked loose.

Well the right inner sway bar bushing is swollen and oily. It also dosen't look like it's in the same spot on the sway bar as the left one. Who has the least expensive sway bar bushings? Thanks for the input.

You can get a set of 4 from Don At EBS Racing (1-800-462-3774, tell him chris from Michigan told you) for like $20. I replaced mine in about an hour, it was real simple. Don can explain the entire process better than me
