New to me 1984

Hey, This is my new to me 1984 944 5 speed. I got it from the original owner with 144,900 miles, it ran but the cam belt was so lose you could hear it flopping,LOL.
So I told him to turn it off quick, and paid him for it and loaded on my trailer.
I did run a compression check on the engine before he started it, 180 psi across all cylinders, I was happy about that LOL!
You can look here in my garage and see some of the maintenance I did to it before I ever drove it!
This is a pic of it when I got it home, before a bath. Original paint, that I am going to try and save, we will see LOL!

This past weekend I got the sunroof,and the heater blower motor working.
Mounted my windshield rear view mirror, installed a new radio head unit, and a smaller steering wheel, All of this made driving the car much better! LOL

Hey, I updated my 1984 944 with a DME and AFM from a 1985.5 and newer 944.
Really made a good difference, no more low rpm fuel cut, and seems to rev smoother. That could be because the newer AFM is in better condition than my older one was.
It was differently worth the price and the time to do it,I got both off Ebay for $165.00 used of coarse! Thanks

If that paint is original, it WILL rub out really nicely. I've been amazed at the same on the 87 924S I recently bought. John

Yes I believe it is the original paint, no over spray anywhere. I have started the buffing and it is looking great so far! Thanks

Hi, Yes the BBS wheels are 15x7 all around. I just put on a set of 15x7 phone dials this past weekend. Do you have two 15x8 phone dials early offset?

No, I only have the gold-centered BBS mesh type.
I have 7s and 8s on my car, and a spare pair of 8s.
Though I was thinking about maybe going to 7s all around.

Hey,
This weekend I installed new hatch pin seats from Only944.com Great Upgrade!!
Also some new hatch struts, adjusted the latches and cable. Now my hatch opens when I hit the button! Little things mean alot! LOL

Hey,
After hearing all the good things about the NA Tune MAF kit from Lindsey Racing I ordered one for my 84 944. Also, I sent my DME to them to convert it to a 28 pin setup!
I sent my fuel injectors to Mr. Injector.com to have them serviced, just to be sure they are flowing the same.
I can't wait to get it all here and installed to feel the difference
