Sunroof help please!!

I looked today for the switches on the sunroof motor that lock the roof down...they are there, but they are just hanging...does anyone have a picture of how they should be set up? Thanks guys.

They should be bolted down with little nuts and bolts. They might be stuck to the side of the sunroof motor seeing that it is magnetic. On of the switches is to tell the car when the sunroof is closed and the other is to tell the car when the sunroof is detatched. You have to setup them up so they trigger just right. I'm going to find this site that explains it in detail,... brb.

I understand the concept, but like I said...my microswitches are not bolted...they are hanging...so I need a picture of a working one so I can know where and how the microswitches bolt on.

Well, the 944S switches(don't know if they are different), theres 2 little bolts that pass right through the switches and the motor thing. You tighten them until they do what they were designed to do.

If you look at the motor from the top, you should see a hole in it towards the top center. As the motor spins, you should see a white plastic piece moving behind this hole. It's that white plastic piece that hits the switches.

The microswitches are fixed just above this hole. They screw/bolt onto the motor assembly itself. There should be two small holes on what should look like a "ledge" that these switches sit on.
