'89 944, No Power To Fuel Pump
Hello,
So, a few weeks ago, my car suddenly lost power like it ran out of fuel and died on me. I got it towed to my house, and with my friend deduced the fuel pump was not getting any power as we could not hear it being primed. So, out with the old and in with a new Bosch pump, yet I still cannot hear it getting powered. However, were there was tach bounce with the old fuel pump, there is no tach bounce trying to start it with the new one. The night before it died, it had a similar almost like it ran out of gas feeling but it got power back I'm assuming and it got me home. I don't know what it could be. I am guessing grounds since the fuel pump fuse is fine. Any guesses? If it is grounds too, where would be the grounding points? (2.7L 944 5 speed for reference) |

Also check fuse #34, 12 volts positive to the fuel pump from the relay.
