Where to get power for Rouge NA Tune with MSD Blaster 2?
So I'm currently looking into buying a NA tune for my 1984 944, and was seeing a fair amount of posts saying that running power for the MAF off the coil is not a good idea because of noise. I also have a MSD Blaster 2 coil installed in the car, and I saw one post about how running power off of it would mess with the MAF even more than with the OEM coil. I'm not very good with wiring of electrical, but understand basic concepts. If anyone could chime in and point me in the right direction where to find a switched 12V supply, and how to wire it to the MAF, that would be outstanding.

From the Rouge installation instructions: Step 29 - Remove the coil cover and install the MAF power wire (red wire) to the positive (+) side of the coil as shown above. Caution: DO NOT install the red wire to the negative side (-) of the coil or damage will occur. Also, route the power wire in a way to avoid the exhaust manifold and excessive heat.

I had Rogue NA tune for 3 years, wired to the + side of the coil.
It never gave me any trouble; there may have been "noise" but I wouldn't know -- the thing ran great the whole time. |
Runs great off the coil wire for me as well.
