breather hose options

Hello,

On my 924s project I need the breather hose Part#944-107-187-01

For such a short hose its an expensive little guy. Looks like there was a cheaper option at one time by JL 56085 for about $26 but the oem one on pelican and ebay is around $65.

Has anyone found a bmw or volvo cross that would be cheaper? My only other thought is to just make one using 45 and 90 elbows.

You don't need one. Porsche came out with a bulletin that says to cap it where it comes out of the belt housing and cap it at the air box. I'm sure somebody on here has it.

not sure if we are talking the same part. this one comes out the oil separator towards the rear of the engine runs under the intake.

No luck with Lindsay racing. they use to have it but due to covid supply from china has wiped them out of the that particular one. Going to try and build one up. See how that goes.

I was able to find auto parts place that let me wonder around their warehouse and look at hoses. I think I might have found a solution for $14. I'll try to install this weekend and if it works I'll post the part#

Pelican has the JL version for $27 in stock now. That seems hard to beat.

looks like the one I found will work. I checked pelican but it was out of stock at the time. If this one causes problems Ill order from pelican

Here is the gates part I found for 14.99. It’s a bit short but I think it will reach.
