I want to find out if anyone has experience with performance of 928 front brakes on a 951. I use my car primarily for DE but like the fact that I can use my 16" rims with these calipers. I want to know if they have significantly more performance or should I spend another $1000 for a big red upgrade.

Guy here with a handle of "Tifosiman" has done 928 brakes, but it was on a 944, not 951. I'd expect a similar install (I think). Try asking him.

IIRC, the TurboS had the S4 brakes, so it should not be a problem.
The wheel offset on the 951 Cup wheels were 65mm vs. 55mm front, so you may have to use spacers for clearance. (I believe the offset was to accomoate the brakes). HTH, -Z.

Tifosiman did the 928S4 brake conversion on his 85.5. He gave me a ride in it and yes, it will stop on a dime and give you 9 cents change.

One of the porsche magazines recently featured this upgrade with detailed instructions. I'll check out which one tonight and let you know.
