Porsche Crest Early 85 944 Heater Core Removal

Does anyone know how the heck to remove the heater core from an early 944 with a/c. I've already got the dash out to re-cover it and I'm also re-wiring some things, and I'd really like to get that big air-box-vent thing in the center (where the blower motor goes into) out of my way. But the heater core hoses seem to be holding it in there. Any advice would be apreciated.

I cant remember the last time I read that procedure but if I remember you need to pull the fan motor assembly and the heater core is on a rail that slides out.

Some people are like Slinkies. Not really good for anything, but you
still can't help but smile when you see one tumble down the stairs.
