944 brake hardware kits
I just found out that Porsche no longer sells the rear hardware kits for your disc brakes, I had to buy two front kits instead, through Pelican Parts. You can use front kits on the rear but you have to make the retaining springs shorter by clamping off the bend on the end in a vise so the rolled over spring steel snaps off, then take a pliers and increase the curve that fits under the pins to effectively shorten the length overall so it will fit the space end to end, parallel to the rotor.
I talked to Tom at Pelican and he says that thanks to computer automated ordering and my request for the rear hardware kit, they now have enough front kits to outfit almost every 944 in North America. Order up your brake repair kits now while the gettin's good. By the way these guy's have the fastest delivery on parts I've ever seen. ------------------ 944 Joe |

Thanks for the info, I'm fixing to do brakes on a 924T with 5 lug. You are talking about the pins and spring, right.
