Question Help! flywheel 924 turbo

Please help if you can. I had the flywheel of my 1980 924Turbo
blanchard ground at a machine shop. The machinest told me he ground it to specifications in his book. My mechanic tells me that since it is a hydraulic clutch with no adjustment that it will not engage properly and I need to buy a new flywheel. New flywheels are about $500. and I already have to much invested in this car. Does anybody know who is right, or a good solution to this problem? Thanks.

Wish I would have seen your post sooner. I hope you have found that it will work with the same ground from the disk surface and the pressure plate , ring gear mounting surface.
