What $4000 worth of body repair and paint looks like

I finally got a scanner and was able to get my accident before and after pics up. Check it out.

Looking at your 944 makes me miss mine, beautifull car. My gf just told me today it was a nice color for a 944.

Hope you're enjoying your 951, you haven't been too active on the boards lately.
Ahmet

Thanks Ahmet!

Does that Borla catback look familar? Yes, I miss my N/A dearly. Ruby Red is a gorgeous color for the 944. They say you never really realize what you had until it's gone, I would have to agree. The sad thing is is that I sold that car for $4,150 and it only had 99k on it. It did need some minor work (leaking clutch cylinders, brake master, etc.). A prepurchase inspection by a shop that specializes in 944's also revealed shrinking motor mounts and excessive whirring in the ring and pinion. The car was also due for belts and a pump.

I haven't been here or on Rennlist in awhile. There's been a lot going on with me in the last three or four months, and unfortunately much of that is negative. I am enjoying the 951, even though i've only put on 4,000 miles on it in 14 months.

Cheers,
-Ben

Is Ruby Red a stock Porsche color? Can you tell me how to locate it? I am considering fixing up my broken 924 and am looking for a nice Burgandy/ deep red color, ( New job potential has perked up -keep your fingers crossed ) But then again, I may cross over to forbidden territory..I like 911 SC's

Don't feel bad, I sold my 944 for a whole lot less than I had into it (less than $3k), but at the time I really didn't have a choice.

Things I think are starting to look up, I hope you have better luck as well. One of the things that always stick out when I'm thinking of my old 944 is the borla cat back, and the whole dillema w/it (I would think you remember also).

You have a very nice turbo, I'm enjoying my turbo too, (had to happen I guess!) Took almost 50 pictures today, here's one of the not in motion shots:

Take care.

Hey Ahmet,

What sort of rear hoop is that in your car? Got any other photos of it?

Thanks for the compliments. I suppose it looks pretty good from the pictures...

The roll bar is a redline (rennsport) roll bar. Attaches to the seatbelt mounting points in the lower rear seats, and the C-pillar (where some cars have the 3rd point of the rear seatbelts mounted). There's one picture of the car in my sig that shows a different angle, but I don't think I have any other shots that show the roll bar clearly.

I'm just sitting here repeating to myself......"I do not need a 951. I do not need a 951. I do not need a 951......"

Doesn't seem to be working
