Possible to install an intercooler on my 931?

OK, I promised my self to not start and look for things to do for increasing the performance of my car, but hmmmmm, its not easy.

I just heard from a guy that is possible to install (quite easy) the intercooler from a 951 on a 931 so that I can increase the boost on my turbo with 0.1-0.2 kg?

Any one done this and do you know if its possible on my 931 built 79?

Thank for any help!

It is very possible, don't know if a 951 cooler will fit, but I am sure there are aftermarket ones that will

Hey AFJuvat,
thank you!
I took the time and searched the forum and I found a link to a Swedish guy (Coincident????) who has done it.

I can put out the link if any one is interested!!

Anyway, thank you for your answer!

OK, let me refrase my question!!! :-)

Are the trick's he has done, good or bad?
Is he's for real with the performance??? after the initial things he did?
If yes, I WILL also do them!!!

This has to be a tricky question, or?

Is the guy a dreamer or not?

The toughest part of installing the intercooler is routing the plumbing to and from the intercooler. Some people go over the radiator and have clearance problems with the hood. I moved my fuel distributor inward an inch or so, and relocated the windshield washer reservoir, this provided plenty of room for the tubing to go through the area once occupied by the reservoir. You will need a thin cooler to fit in front of the radiator especially if you have A/C.
