Wiper linkage compatibility
Anyone know if the wiper linkage assembly from the later 944/2 will fit the earlier variant 944/1?
One of my wipers stopped working in the downpour last night, I think the mechanism has broken somewhere as one arm (the one closest to the wiper motor) still works.

Did you check the spindle nuts that hold the wiper arms to the wiper drive spindles?

Yeah, first thing I checked. I can see that the long parallel arm has come off of the ball joint at the motor end of the mechanism. Ball joint still appears to be there, as does the plastic bushing on the arm, looks like it has popped off, rather than actually broken in some way. Either way I need to get the battery out so I can get at the mechanism.
