VIN numbers......

does anyone know how to get the VIN # thing off of the car? do we remove the windshield? please help...... later....

um.. also is there any stickers or things on the chassis that have to do with the vin #.... thanks..... later.....

im not sure why you would want to remove the vin tag, but thats none of my business. the vin tag i believe is stamp welded on the windshield pillar and yes to remove it you would have to remove the windshield unless you want to cut it off carefully with a rotary tool.

951 Fanatic, you do know that is a felony if you try to swap VIN tags don't you? You have to go through the Secretary of state in your state to do it legaly. And the car will forever state on the title that the VIN has been swapped, and in some states it will carry a rebuildres title. Need less to say, this will make the car almost worthless for resale, other than a parts car.

Yeah i dont think were gunna do it....... (dad and I).... but thanks..... I guess what were gunna do is part his car and put everythign good on mine..... thanks... Just mine is auto and we want a manual.....

If you have a donor car right there, just swap them over. It will be a job, but you'll have a better idea of how your car was put together, and how it works. Just a thought...
