Ok, working on the truck,... I just found out somthing about the truck already. It's not bad just disappointing. I was searching through the truck looking for for "stuff" or anything broken scrathed whatever. Anyways, I found that the plastic for the center console(radio, climate) wasn't totally flush witht the trucks dash. It was poking out by .5 inches. So I go in to investigate. Above the radio is a blank panel. I push on the blank panel and with enough force i pushed it in to find that they used electrical tape to hold the blank panel in place. Dumb azzes. So I am asking myself why they would do this. Anyways I remove the whole center console within minutes. It was easy now that I have experience from working on the porsche. I looks as if someone, probably the original owner tried to get behind the center console but had trouble. Couldnt figure it out. The thing basically snaps into place with the exception of a screw here and there. Anyways, one of the holes for the snaps is cracked so I have to get some liquid plastic to repair that. Also it looks like the lost the bracket to mount the radio and the blank panel. So now I have to go to home depot and make my own. I thknI will go to get a new head unit today anyways. But, what a piss poor job they did. I'm going fix it up all nice and show you guyz pictures.

This truck has a 2.7L 4 but its different though. The engine revs really fast not like the 944 but the 44 has that 4000 rpm power range where the truck doesnt. The ruck shifts ALOT easier then the 44 does. God if I could have a 44 that shifts this easily, I would be in heaven.

Hey overkill, if you want to give me the vin from that truck i could run the numbers for any service campaigns or bulletins if you haven't had that done yet.

Here's my VIN# 4TAPM62NXYZ634143 Thanks alot! Hey seeing that you work at toyo dealer, I got the extra 6 year warranty that covers everything on the truck except brakes and stuff like that. The piece of plastic that has the 2 AUX cigarette outlets is kinda just leaning up against the center console seeing that the hole where the clip is suppose to go into broke off behind it. Can I get that replaced seeing the the warranty says that it covers everything?

I'm not sure about warranty issues cuz i work in the shop. You might wanna ask a service advisor about that at your local dealership. They also should run the vin for you at no cost, but i'll run it for you anyway. Does that rear license plate say certified? If it is certified then they probably have done everything that they cover.

Yo, OK.
Here's the skinny. There's a trailer hitch wiring update campaign for your truck. Called 10H. So if you have a trailer hitch with wiring, head to the dealer and find out what they can do. Good luck there.
