Unhappy Does this look infected??

The sides are actually white, the flash makes them look weird... It turned white after I... uh... 'cleaned' it. I promised I rinsed all the degreaser off/out of it... it just did that when it dried...
Before this, it just had oily crappy crap all inside it.

white powdery stuff?...probably just oxidation...I think cleaning/degreasing agents can hasten the process

Yep degreasers do that. Eat up the oily stuff and then leave whatever residue (dust, metal, etc.) a chalky gray/white. Nothing a little WD-40 and an old toothbrush can't finish up.

Nothing some anti-biotics won't fix. Ceflotetan, Bacitracin and Keflex are all good for killing bad bugs...

Sorry, can you tell I work in a hospital?

Well, at least you didn't boil it.

Normal, WD-40 works well, just a light coat, spread it around with your finger.
