Knocking sound over bumps
Front end knock coming from engine area. Pretty sure all suspension is tight. What else have people found loose down there? Sounds like a motor mount (new) or heat shields (which are not heavy enough to make the noise.) Can't find anything loose at all when poking around under the car.

I'd vote for ball joints.

Stuck shock (push down on each front corner to see if it rebounds). This happened to me.

Assuming the 968 and my S2 share the same….power steering hard return line to the cooler popping in and out of the white support clip on the frame rail would make noise over speed bumps. I had to zip tie it in place.

Check the bushings on the sway bar. I had the same issue.

Can you describe whether the clunk is when going over bumps or when torque is put on the drivetrain. If the clunk is when the engine or drivetrain is under stress, as when letting out the clutch or accelerating from a stop, I would look at engine mounts or other chassis points, such as the chassis brace above the exhaust.
If the clunk is when going over bumps, to me that points to your bushings and/or suspension connections/ball joints, etc. I had a clunk which I could simply not find. It would clunk when taking off from a stop, or when braking hard, when the engine/drivetrain/suspension is under flex. Checked everything at least 3 times-highly suspected strut connections or engine mounts, but in the end it turned out to be the chassis brace above the exhaust (bridges the torque tunnel) that was slightly loose and only hand-tight. Turns out I forgot to tighten it down fully after the recent torque tube rebuild/clutch replacement. The clunking was that brace shifting when the chassis would flex under load.
