Rear Ride Height

Can anyone direct me to a site where changing the ride height on the tortion bar rear suspension is described. I know almost anything that can be adjusted has been laid out by someone somewhere. Thanks for your help!

Hey Guys,

Why just lower the rear? Won't this cause saggy tail or is there a way to lower the whole car without changing the springs?

I wouldn't mind lowering mine but it's gotta be even.

Well I'm lowering my car this summer. The shop will do this by using lowering-springs on the front end and adjusting the trailing blades in the rear to match the front ride hight.

So ......

buy front springs that lower 3/4 inch.
adjust rear down 3/4 inch

= nice even lower 944 ?

Sounds good and easy to me.

If I am not mistaken the american 944's sit a little high in the rear to meet some bumper height regulations. Lowering the rear brings it down to the height the car was made to ride at. Thats what I heard anyways. Not to sure about it.

CJFusco....I have Koni yellows and my car has been lowered so much that it scrapes the ground just abpit anywhere.
I wish i could raise the front without having to change the springs..
Could this be done?

I dropped my car this summer.
230lb weltmeister lowering springs up front.
Koni yellows front and rear
Then had the eccentric (spelling) nuts on the trailing blades adjusted.

The height is not perfect, the tops of the front tires are just tucking, and you can just see the tops of the rear tires. It gives the car a pretty aggressive look without having to do the expensive job of adjusting the torsion bars. The car handles extremely well!!!!
