'86 944T handling woes
When making a sweeping left turns ~70-80mph, the right rear suspension takes intermittant 'dips'; the suspension compresses/drops suddenly then recovers within a half second or so. It wobbles the car back and forth - very unstable. It does not happen on right turns.
I just replaced all the shocks/struts with new Sachs, and had an alignment done. The local shop can't find anything wrong with the right-rear suspension. Any ideas on what might be causing this? Greg |

A Few ideas.
1) You have a bad shock (happens from time to time) 2) The rear ride height of the car is too high. 3) The right rear tire has a slow leak or is defective in some way 4) Right rear wheel bearing is bad 5) The sway bar is disconnected or a bushing is worn. |

thanks for the ideas! How can I tell if the ride height is too high? visually, it looks about the same as the left side.
I'll try to check the bearings and sway bar this weekend. thanks! |
