16X8 Square Wheel Setup?

Have been looking for a 16" square wheel setup (for dedicated rims/tire rotations) for my '87NA...and I think I've found a set of four 16x8's, and would likely run 215x50x16 Conti Contacts on these.

If anyone here could chime in on how this (square, 16x8) setup might work for "moderately spirited" driving on country roads with twisties, plus a bit of around town and highway driving, that would be great. Thanks!

Your size is 215x50x16. The recommended width for the 8 x 16" rim is 225 for a 5o series profile. Your wheels will be a little less tall affecting speedo calibration.

From google:
15-Inch 215-60-15 Base
16-Inch Front: 205-55-16 Rear: 225-50-16 Turbo

I'm not all that concerned with speedo accuracy...more wanting to know from others with a 16x8 square wheel setup, with 225/50 tires, anything they could share about driving dynamics and feel.

I'm currently running 255/40/17s on 9x17 Cup II wheels on my 87 944S.
Having coil overs allows me to run them with no issues and sh3 sticks at the track. http://forums.pelicanparts.com/uploa...1638820028.jpg

Its gonna be GREAT! Just buy them already! 225/50/16 is the tire size you should use. They will perform flawlessly and better than a 7" wheel to be sure
