Just sharing pics...

I just put these few pics together for a post elsewhere, so I thought maybe I'd share, feel free to comment, or add yours...

With the pretty rims...

Is it possible to do burnouts in a 944 NA? You bet your sweet A$$ it is!!!

Does it handle? In a word, YES! (this is why I have a 944, handling!

Last but not least, throttle oversteer, oh yeah!

Happy motoring...
Ahmet

Ahmet, looking at your second picture ... I would suggest putting some oil in your car

I must admit, on the first pick with the "pretty" rims, lol. That car looks sooo soooo BAD ASS! Everyone is always talking about changing to the Turbo front end to make it look better, I am not putting it down, hell, I did it myself to upgrade the look, then, I just put on the 17" Turbo Twists, yes, look awsome, but, a 944NA front end looks just as awsome when you have the awsome rims, I wish I would have done my rims first, I may not have gone through the trouble of doing the conversion because just as Ahmet's, it would have looked awsome with just the rims. Your car looks great even now, I like the color alot, just that with those 17" rims you had, Damn, did that look hot.

Thank you very much for the nice comments, I really do enjoy it when people realize just how much I've achieved with the mods I've done to the car. Thanks again for the thumbs up on the color, which is one of my favorites, up there with silver, and blue for a 944, or a 944 turbo. (however I have to admit, on a 968, champagne would look really ugly!)

The wind deflector basically "helps" air flow (over the car) at high speeds stay OVER the car, and not come inside the cabin. I've witnessed the hatch seals get blown off a 944 first hand actually... All you need to do is put the reflector down for a few minutes at 110 or so mph. (or I suppose higher). Ofcourse it helps noise levels a little too, but that's only at higher speeds, when the thing is pointing up all the way, it actually creates more noise.

If the whole thing works right (I've only seen a couple of early 944s besides mine that actually function the way it's supposed to), the spring that's built in the reflector will let it come down as speed (and air pushing it down) increase...

You got me thinking again, I did like the look of the "pretty" rims, however I got a good offer for them, +the smaller, lighter cookie cutter rims are much better suited to the way I drive than the 17s were, at least they don't break. (though I've already gone through a couple)

Well, here are some more pics, the first one with the 17s on, at school:

And now with the early type rims. I really don't think these look bad at all, and they've grown on me (the way they look, I already apriciated their lightness, and strength).

And the car as it looks today! (Save for different tires):

I hope I'm not trying to fool myself here, what do you all think? I believe the later style rims really don't look out of place, but the cookies (and definately the fuchs too) don't look bad at all, provided that the rims aren't falling apart!

Nice ride you've got. The color is very classy. With the fuchs, it is an excellent example of an "early" 944.
I thought the fuchs had great strength, too - until I had the big accident and the rear rim tore like a piece of paper!

If the windows are all the way up with the roof off, the air rushing into the cockpit creates an awful vibration throughout the car. With the deflector raised, the air passes over the top of the car safely.

You can experience a similar effect in most 4-door cars by opening only one of the rear windows.

I know I'm gonna catch hell for asking this, but how did you include your photos in the posts? I'm better with cars than I am with computers

Just click on the edit icon on one of the posts with pictures in it.

To do this you have to have the pics on the net first. Excite's clubs have web space you can use, but not Pelican...

This is my fiance's and my first 924. We bought it in really bad condition, it had been gutted, sandblasted, the back end had been mushed in an accident. The original color we were told was gold, but after we got the body repairs done and the interior put back together we decided that gold wasn't flashy enough of a color, we wanted a color that would make people say Wow look at that car as we drove by, which is why we didn't go with the original gold color. We still have a long way to go before we're finished restoring it.

The color is Bright Metallic Jade. The pictures don't show the true color very well, lighting was horrible, if I can manage to find a scanner I have some great pictures of it.

Here's Im6y's car...

Mideast, I don't really like the look of the polished fuchs, definately not on a 944 OR a 944 turbo, and certainly not on a black one...

I think black is a bad color for almost any car... Silver looks OK to awesome on many machines, cars included...
