ARP head studs for 2.7/2.5 head on 3.0 block
Anyone who has shopped for ARP studs for their build is sad to find that ARP doesn't make them for the 2.7L, which means any build involving a 2.7/2.5L head on a 3.0 block.
But, they DO have some that fit, they just don't list them for the 944! I present you... ARP part number 244-4300 "Pro Series, 12-Point Heads, Chrysler, Dodge, 5.7, 6.1, 6.4L, Kit" What this grants you is 20 head studs, nuts, washers, and a slew of other hardware that you don't need for around $350-400. Yes, that's double the number of studs you need. They are 155mm in length, which will not fit 16v heads on 3L blocks, nor 8V heads on 2.5 blocks. The factory 2.7L stud is 148mm. There is no necessity for these to be slightly longer, but the threaded portion begins at the same point, making the extra length irrelevant. Here is a picture comparing the ARP stud to a factory 2.7 stud. ![]() ![]()

These fit great!
I know it is an old post. But deserves to be resurrected
These studs fit great! Currently do not have the headhasket installed. The large heavy washer is a Billet set up. ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]()
