Windshield wiper motor disconnect
I am removing the hood to clean off the old foam. Clarks garage says to just disconnect the wiring and hoses. The wire from the wiper motor disappears thru a grommet into the footwell. It looks like it disconnects under there ? Is that the best method or does it disconnect from the washer nozzles on the actual hood?
It looks like it would need cut or disconnected somewhere in the footwell? Thanks for any advice. |

Fish out the wiring that goes to the nozzles. You will see a white moles connector (maybe 4 or 5 pins). Either depin the connector, or, if that is not possible, mark and clip the wires where they go into the hood near the hinge (driver side, IIRC). You can butt splice them back together after the procedure.
Of course, there is no need to disconnect the wiper motor, it is not mounted to the hood.
