Catalytic Converter
My catalytic converter was replaced with an aftermarket POS. Does anyone know of a good place to get one or get a quality aftermarket one with head pipes? The PO looks like he hacked it apart to put the replacement one in. Are aftermarket ones reliable?

Lots of people replace the original with a free flow aftermarket model. Since its only polution control reliability has never been an issue for me. Most of our old cats no longer function anyway. You should only be concerned with passing emmisions testing.

Still wondering if low rpm is hindered becouse of lack of back pressure from a pass throughj or straight pipe cat.
I think it was Master Juvat that said low end torque would be sacrificed without the cat. I would trust Jedi master....unless it cost alot of money Then I would "test pipe" the cat and settle for less low rpm torque than it already miserbly has. Not to complain...I hit 3300 and ricers will die!
