What is this braket for (87 944S)
1987 944S
There's a bracket below master cylinder and just above intake rubber boot. it doesn't hold anything. What is it for?

Hi fellow 944S owner!
The bracket is a support for the plastic J tube air intake - see attached illustration. Sometimes the plastic tab gets cracked and will give an air leak, so always check this. Hope this helps!!
