Sunroof lifting arms mounting
I couldnt remove the sunroof because the lift arms werent properly secured and were hanging too low. Otherside doesnt have the weldes threaded rods at all, had to use a short screw to secure that bracket. On the otherside I cant push the long bolt theough the lift arm mechanism because the threaded rods are in the way. If someone has pictures off how the lift arm boxes should be fixed to the roof, it would be of great help. Mine looks like some DIY guy made his own brackets.

You appear to be missing a bracket which attaches to the threaded studs which are blocking your bolt from going through. ![]() This is my 89 S2 which I have converted to manual latches. You can see the bracket shown here, which your car is missing. If you add that bracket, it should fix your issues.
