Hey I know the fealing. Two days after I got the moter back in and running after only buying it and driving to my brothers shop to put it on a lift my 85.5 944 was backed in to by a full size Dodge ram truck smashing the drivers side door. I was upset seing that I was only able to drive it one day before it went into the body shop for another month. And it had already been at the shop for 3 months.

Sucks does it not?

Tough Luck man, I really feel for you. If the place has a video camera watching the parking lot, hopefully you can nail that worthless bastard. Small chance, but worth the try.

No it was a local one....i was also at Sports authority but i dont think it was there because there was a black integra parked there the whole time on the side where i got hit, but the hit mark was from a silver car. I cant believe some people today. Well everything happens for a reason so I will just have to deal with it.

I generally try to park next to the cleanest, most expensive looking car I can find. At least this way you know their door isn't going to end up putting a big ass dent into the side of your car. It's the ******* driving the $500 piece of crap that you have to worry about. Real tough break, hope they find him!

I have had one person back into me out of 5 cars I've owned in the last 4 years. Besides that nada! The one car that was backed into was the 944, which didn't suffer any damage thanks to the ugly rubber "bumprettes".

Check this out, the guy who sold me the 944 had his blue (and pristine) 968 backed into, on the passanger rear quarter panel (if I recall right) the first week he had it! It USED to have all original, and quite perfect paint...

Try parking next to the most expensive looking car in the lot? HA! They're driven by older women who don't give a flying **** about hitting your car. They'll get in with their shopping bags and bang the hell out of you.

ME? I park WAY THE HELL OFF in BFE (bum **** egypt) where the only thing that's going to hit my car is a stray bullet from a drive by shooting.

My 2 cents worth (This subject really pisses me off too)

I hadded just finished the clutch in my 951 a few months ago and less than a week later, I was hit by an unlicensed, uninsured motorist. The damage very small and you can't even really tell without looking closely, so I just pocketed the insurance money and will fix it later. Some people just really tick me off. About six months before this incident, my car was hit by a girl pulling into the space next to me. She was insured and since she was paying, I took it to the Porsche dealership. You couldn't tell anything had happened to it afterwards. Both were on the rear quarter panel.

good luck

Dave
