1988 944 injectors
Question, with the ignition on should I be getting 12v on both terminals of all the injector plugs. If not I have a short between the injector wires and ecu? Ecu tests good.1988 Porsche 944.

With the ignition on (and the engine not running) you will see 12 vdc on both sides of the injector (when compared to battery ground.) The injectors fire when the ECU drops the voltage on one side of the injector to ground. (BTW, all of the injectors are fired at the same time.)
You can test with a noid light...

If you are not getting power to injectors you should check your DME relay and your speed/reference sensors
You should also check out Clarks Garage as most of these types of questions are already answered as well as the diagnostic procedures to test outlined Troubleshooting Fuel Supply Problems See other fuel related problems section Additional info here https://www.clarks-garage.com/shop-manual/ts-01.htm |
