Block Drain et al on '86 944T

In process of changing belts and thermostat. And, yes, the snap ring is difficult to get out. Used the ground down offset long nose plier technique.

One thing I did observe was that it is not worth taking the block drain plug out of the block when you change coolant, if you have lots of time. Less than a cup came out of the block. I will say that the lower hose had been off for 24 hours when I removed the drain plug. Won't remove plug again.

Dealer ordered the wrong pump seal so here I sit until next week. Seal goes where thermostat butts up against internals of pump opening. Another place got me the wrong balance shaft belt. Such competence is overwhelming. At least the cam belt fit.

By the way, Krikit is easy to use. I had no problem setting 40 lbf on the belt with the tool. And the reading is repetitive.
