924 airbox question
 
Does anyone know why Porsche changed the air box design around 1981 or 82 ??
My 82 has a longer snout that picks up air from center front while the older models had a larger, shorter snout that picks up behind the left headlight. I have both boxes and the older design looks and sounds better.
