Weird connector

Hello everybody, I am just wondering if any of you know what this connector is or where the other side of the connector is. I originally thought that it was the old radio connector because the previous owner installed a new radio but today I saw a picture of the HVAC system that Clark’s garage has and it has the same connector. So im guessing it has something to do with the HVAC system but everything works pretty well in my system so im not sure. I also looked around for a good bit of time and Ive never seen the other side to this connector. My car is a 1984 944. Thank you I would appreciate any help.

Thank you! That makes sense, somebody removed mine before I bought it.

Thank you, thank you, thank you! I'm in the midst of gutting the wiring and was wondering the same thing. How fortuitous.

I'm looking for one of these connectors to build a test bench for debugging an early cruise control. If you haven't already tossed it, I'd like it. Let me know if it is still available. I'll cover shipping and a few bucks for your trouble.

sounds like you two have it worked out. If you dont solve it that way I might have a long bakalite terminal block, or you can get one of those locally. that would mean no quick disconnect and the wires would each have a terminal and a screw. Most well equipped electronics stores probably have those at hand. Nicer if it's the right plug. no difference electrically. For the test bed he'd probably want the correct plug. a terminal strip is handy if you want to add more wires to connect meters indicator lamps, etc. Maybe having both on a test bed would be handy to keep things tidy.
