Crankshaft Pulley

Has anyone ever removed the pulley off the crankshaft? Sooner or later I'm going to replace the water pump. The crank pulley has to come off to get the back of the timing belt housing off in order to get the pump out.

Is it difficult to get the pulley off?

Get yourself a flywheel lock for about 30.00. The bolt in the end of the crank is pretty tight. You'll have to remove the fan assembly first before going after the crank bolt unless you have just the right length socket, but even then it's just easier to have the extra room because your going to do a belt change at the same time right?
