Vacuum Line ID

Greetings,

I am working on replacing a bunch of suspect vacuum lines under the hood of my 1986 944.

I would usually go with what ever the standard line Napa has in stock. However I tried using that logic when I rebuilt the windshield washer system, and it bit me is the backside.

Is the vacuum tube inner diameter standard stuff we can get in the US? Or is it a metric size that must be special ordered?

I am talking about the small diameter stuff that goes to the heater control valve, the vacuum canister and other small generic stuff.

Thanks!

Matt|ttaM

I've had other cars with rubbery vacuum lines, but the 944 came with thin hard plastic vacuum tubes. Is that what you are looking to replace. You can get it from Pelican in black and genuine Porsche, or they sell a generic white version too.

Try the link.
