88’ Porsche 924S Automatic Not Cranking.

I very recently purchased an 88’ 924S automatic and when I turn the key I hear the fuel pump run but there is no clicking or any life whatsoever out of the starter. The previous owner told me it was a faulty neutral safety switch however I could not find any information relating to this car having a neutral safety switch.

I don’t think my car has that part, it isn’t in the diagram of parts for the style of shifter I have, there seems to be a different style of auto shifter for other auto trans cars.

The style of shifter with that part seem to only be on automatic 944, and 928 cars.

I tested that part with a multi meter and it shows signs of working as intended. Im starting to think it’s a starter/solenoid issue.
