Reverse light switch 1984 944
I can’t find the reverse light switch on my automatic transmission and everywhere I look uses a manual tranny for reference

IIRC, the reverse light switch is in the shifter assembly in the console in front of the radio.

I understand your frustration. On some automatic transmissions, the reverse light switch is located on the side of the transmission housing. It might be a small switch with electrical connectors.
