Sunroof leaks

I just thought I'd let you all know something about sunroof leaks, that took me years to find.
Ever since I got my car(82 944) the sunroof has leaked, and ruined the headlining, interior side panel and rear seat!!!! I could never understand how the water was getting in, as the seals are good, and all four pipes are clear. Well, today I found out.
The tubes at the rear are kind of "Chain spot welded" to a flat bracket in the corner of the roof. On my car the leak is in these welds, allowing water to run along the interior roof stiffener panel, and down wherever it likes!! I found this by blocking the hole in the sunroof drain channel, and blowing up the drain tube to trace the hiss.
I wish someone had told me this years ago!!!!
