Question on Option Codes

Just a quick question about option codes,
I own a '83 944 with the following codes:
C62 E17 395 409 431 456

I've been searching the web for awhile trying to find out what the first two codes are for,C62 and E17. The rest I can find, but I havn't found any sites that list or even mention these. Any info would be great.

Have you tried 944fan.com?

I know they have option codes.

David

I checked out 944fan.com, but the closet codes that they had were, C76, C77, or F75, and those codes were also unknown and didn't have a discrition. If any one knows them, 944fan.com is also trying to find out what they are. Anyways I'll keep looking, maybe I'll have to phone Porsche.

Hi guys, was anybody able to solve this code mystery over the last 20 years? From my point of view the "E" stands for "Exclusive"-Package. Now, the question is, what content had package no. 17 ?

I can't for the life of me think what could be exclusive options for a 944. Full leather interior maybe but that has it's own standalone code M981.

Do you have a photo of your options sticker?

You are right. Sorry, my mistake. That's the wrong part of the forum I have seen the E17 on a 911 3.2 Carrera (early MY) M-Code sticker. Perhaps Porsche used an identical code for a special package for 944, too? Some M-codes seemed to be the same.

There are definitely shared M option codes between models for that period and Porsche have even reissued some codes for current models.

I think you will have trouble decoding the E17. Mine has F07 and Porsche didn't decode it for me but they didn't decode my country code either.
