944 Front Wheel Bearing Seals

I replaced the front wheel bearings and seals on my 1985/2 last spring. I just took them off today, and noticed a large amount of grease has seeped out of the seal on the inside of the hub.

Is this seepage normal? The seals still look OK, and doesn't have any cracks. I'm kind of worried that the grease may get onto my brake rotor. Should I replace the seals anyway?

I would replace them. It sounds like they are istalled backwards / or they are overpacked with grease. If they don't have the steel lip on the backside, they are REAL easy to put in backwards. Don't ask me how I know......
