For a n/a, I'd save that money, then keep saving until you have enough for a supercharger. Or sell the n/a and buy a Turbo, of course

i've heard it makes a big diff on a turbo engine that is already highly modified. but if that is your only mod... forget it.

I think (I'll check it a little more serious then it gets warmer outside so I can put the car back in one piece..) my "barn door" sensor is on it's way to break down and Porsche wants 4800 SEK = $470 for a
new one if I remember right. I can probably get a used one a lot cheaper if I'm willing to take the risk of buying one that maybe will break down soon.. I don't feel like spending over $1k on a MAF kit, but I'm willing to do some experiments and try to build some sort of interface electronics between the DME and a MAF from some other car if I can find a used MAF sensor cheap. My questions are: 1. What kind of performance improvement will I get, more high end power? better throttle response? cool sound? The only mods I have are headers, high flow exhaust and K&N filter. 2. What car can donate the MAF sensor for my experiment? Any model from saab, volvo, vw, audi, bmw, opel, ford or other car which is common in sweden? (cars made in the usa are not common) 3. Has this been done before? Tell me what you think! ![]() Ohh, I almost forgot.. My car is a 944 n/a -83 with 154 kkm on the meter. /Magnus |
