Hey guys, getting head back tuesday but I still haven't successfully removed a few gaskets: valve cover, intake man, and dist. cap.
Dont want to scratch the aluminum so... What is the quickest, easiest method of gasket removal??? ps. I don't want to boil the parts ![]()

I've used a putty knife. Just be careful. I also use a gasket removal tool. It has a knife blade in it. Again, just don't get in a hurry.

Try permatex gasket remover, I've used it in the past with success. It's available at most NAPA or auto parts store. http://www.permatex.com/auto/autouh.asp?automotive=yes&f_call=get_item&item_no=80646 Good luck Rob
