Phantom grip LSD

Hello all,

Does anyone out there have any knowledge of the Phantom grip LSD? The list price on-line is $350 and I was thinking of installing one in my 924GT. All feedback will be appreciated!!

Thanks in advance,

Steve E

Short answer: BAD IDEA! IT'S JUNK!

Long answer: The phantom grip relies upon direct metal-to-metal contact on your differential's side gears. It will wear your side gears down in short order. The site only claims that the phantom grip itself won't wear. Since there has to be wear in order for this to be working and the phantom grip isn't wearing, guess what's wearing. That's right, the side gears in your differential. There's a reason that it's dirt cheap. If you want a limited slip, get a Torsen or a Quaife. Yes, those run about $1,000+, but they actually work and they don't destroy your differential.
