Transaxle gear oil confusion

Diff oil - this can get really confusing fast!

Porsche specifies GL-4, has hypoid gears and brass syncros. And I have a limited slip diff as well. Viscosity should be 75/80 or 75/90, that part is not an issue.

I can’t find a single gear oil that checks all of those boxes. Redline is close (MT90) but specifically says “not for use” with hypoid gears. I just talked to Mobil, they don’t have anything.

I’ve read that GL-5 is a bad idea because it will be too slippery and brass is an issue.

What have you guys come up with that meets all of the requirements including LSD? My car is a daily, not track car.

Bob

I use LIQUI MOLY GL4 with no LSD option. GL4 just because of the brass synchros.
