Ive heard mixed opinions on injector cleaners. What do you think? which is the best brand for porsche injectors?

Thanks,

i have put many various "cleaners" in the tank over the years, but i found one that really works. it's called "regane", made by gumout, but not their regular cheap brand label. this is the real deal. not cheap...i think around $6/bottle. recommended.

it's all the additive...

I use Techron before every 2 oil changes. It seems to work great. Techron is available in a concentrated bottle at Auto stores and is also used in Chevron gasoline. Also, Porsche actually recommends the use of Techron to clean injectors and help smooth things out. I definately recommend it.

My 944 used to "cough" a little and be a little sluggish on start up when cold. I ran some Chevron Techron in it and it has fired up great every since with no trouble.

Thumbs up

Chevron Technoevery oil change. but to be truthfull...

the BEST fuel injector cleaner i've ever used was this totally generic crap called "Tradco fuel injection cleaner". it was about 50 cents for a big bottle and i said "ahh, why the hell not"

man oh man, it's like a miracle... i am not even kidding you and my friends could not believe it either... after that bottle, all the sputter and hesitation in the 924 just DISAPPEARED. it was like a brand new fuel injection sysem was installed and i did atune up.

i am not even kidding you. i've never used a product that worked that good. my friends and i were so impressed i went to look for more of the stuff but it was gone.

if anyone finds a bottle of it, GET IT!

Clean injectors made easy........
Hey it sounds great all the info here I have used the Techron stuff and it did make a difference, the only thing I might add is that you can increase the concentration by having less gas in the tank and remember that after putting this cleaner into the system after the gas runs out please change your oil as some of this cleaner and any debris that may wash down the cyls could cause other problems, ...hope this helps Stan

I use Techron. It's the only one I've found that actually works.
