Cheep shifter repair.
I was surfing the local club site for Auto-X stuff and found this article. I think that a few may find it interesting and helpful for anyone who has a sloppy shifter.

Thaks a lot for the post Greg - my shifer is ALL over the place.
Guess it's one more project on the ol' list. Funny, I had a 924 with the reverst ahead of first about 8 years ago, and I was thinking to myself "something must be wrong with the 944, as the 924 was much tighter" now I know why...

Was thinking of using a hardened sholder bolt and bronze bushings with a couple of preload (wavy) washers.
Requires drilling out the shift handle and reaming the linkage end. All parts should come in less than $20.
