Has anyone installed Kuehl ac compressor to their early 944?

Debating still if I should do it myself or have a shop do it. Is it an easy task? I read in the instructions something about cutting the mounting ears and that’s where it scares me from doing the job. Should be really straight forward but would like to know if anyone here has done it and some advice pls 😅

I just did this on my '88 turbo. Cutting the ear is simple with a hacksaw and a hand file.

One thing I found is that the low side fitting is difficult to get started, and the retrofit with the existing hose (you need to cut your existing low side fitting off and replace it) was barely long enough to reach.

Other than that the kit is great, high quality, and has everything you need with good instructions.

Cheers, Keith

Thank you, I was able to do it yesterday. Everything went smooth. Was kinda nervous because we did cut the hose a little bit too much but was able to remove a clamp for it can extend more. Now cold as ice cubes 🧊

Cheers
