Tire time

Since stock sizes are getting harder and harder to find with the correct speed rating anyone have suggestions for a size that would fit 7x15" on an early car? Want to get something that is decent as a daily driver, but good for DE's. Tirerack doesn't have any Z rated tires in 215x60x15.

Dunlop Direzza StarSpecs, or maybe Falken Azeni's should be good for you.

Goodyear Eagle GT's are a decent tire. They suck in the snow.

7x15 is a spec wheel size for 944 Cup and Pro3, so there should be plenty of options out there. Look for 225/50/15. Toyo RA1 or R888? Hankook RS3?

I am always recommending Tire Rack for this issue. Using their research tool, you can find what fits your needs and If you want to, say change the ratio or go to a larger wheel, they can find tires that will fit your diameter and footprint needs. I replaced my PD'S with a set of 17 Cayman wheels and because not only was the tire diameter to big but the width rubbed the outer lip slightly when agressively applying power in a turn. I found a set that was 1/8th inch narrower and now I'm fine. The review option is a big help as well so you don't get a tire that fits but is a dud in the long scheme of things.

Some people try to turn back their "odometers." Not me. I want people to know 'why' I look this way. I've traveled a long way and some of the roads weren't paved.

For changing wheels, Wheelenhancement.com is great as well.

falken 912. got a set for the front of my car late last year in 215/60/15, about $200 installed.

no more tramlining (following ruts in the road) but they still grip pretty well and are quiet (much more so than the BFG g/force i used to have there).

my rear BFG are about to wear out so i may complete the set all around...quiet and comfy...warrantied for iirc 40,000 miles which is 4 times longer than any tire ive had
