Post End of my rope

Just tried to pick my 85.5 up from the shop that did the complete engine reseal. Balance shafts, water pump, tbelts, oil pan. All of it. And when I went to pick it up it won't shut off now. Meaning that onces it's started, and you turn the key to off it stays running. I have to open the hood to shut the car off, and then the alarm cuts the power. What do I do? The shop swears they did not do it!

Wen the car is running, reach behind the ignition switch under where your steering column is and yank the plug out, if car cuts off when ya do this its your switch.

If the shop can't fix that problem in 5 minutes then don't ever go there again.

check for stuff tehy may have fiddled with to do the work they did.

For example one time I was changing the alternator belt or something and i took out the battery and put a spare one in after I changed the belt because my old one needed to be charged.
So i started car up with hood open started fine.
CLosed hood while car was running and car shut off.
Odd i thought.

The battery was taller than my old one.
When I closed the hood it landed right on the terminals, shorting ground to positve and thus shutting car off.

well they just called me back, and told me that when they washed the engine they shorted the starter relay. They replaced it and were about to charge me for it. But I yelled at the guy. Worst yet when I was picking it up they were just driving it back from the car wash, and they used it to pick up there lunch at Taco Bell. I don't think I am going back there again.

Call the Better Business Bureau and report these clowns. Save the next guy a headache and hopefully put them out of business.

get up at 2 oclock at night, go to taco bell, buy about 200 tacos, and drive by the shop and do a good job on the windows and signs at the joint.

I'm glad you told us the nameof the shop. Since I live in Denver too, it's helpful. Go to Wrights German Motors in Arvada. They're great (not trying to sound like Tony the Tiger).
