Oxygen sensor help
 

Does anyone know what the O2 sensor pinout is, I noticed on the Car side connector there is 3 prongs, and they are number 1,2 and 3. I am wiring a generic O2 sensor and need to find out what pin is the sensor output to the DME and what pins are for the sensor’s heating element.

Hey guys ... I need some help, I have an 84 944na, I was trying to take my O2 sensor out to put a new one in, the damn thing won't get out, so I accidentally broke it, now I have no O2 sensor connected, and the nut needs to be removed for me to be able to put the new one in ... IS IT SAFE TO DRIVE WITHOUT THE O2 SENSOR???

What kind of heat source do you recommend? ... I have very little space to work with, since I don't have jackstands. I am using 2 ramps that lift the front only ... To make things worse, the nut is now worn out because of all the force I was trying to put onto it, so I probably need pliers to do the job ... which makes it even harder. Use a small propane torch... The kind that screws onto the top of a gas cylinder, 6 or 8 inch vice grips and do the work outside if possible. If something goes wrong, you don't want to loose the garage.

Running the car kinda hard should also heat things up a bit so I would try that first.

I know this sounds kinda stupid but make sure you are turning things in the correct direction...

I tried running the car for a while, but that didn't do much, I guess I should let it run longer, since it was cold outside. Also, the 'right direction' is the conventional direction right? where you unscrew things in a counter-clockwise fashion. I checked the threads on the new sensor I have, and they seemed to be of the 'conventional' type. Am I right?

Ya, your right... I did a sensor on a 89 camaro and got it backwards for a while...
